Susan HoweSusan Howe was known for her innovative verse that crossed genres and disciplines in its approach to history. Her poetry is often associated with the Language poets, but her work is usually classified as Postmodern because it expands traditional notions of genre. She normally layers her books with historical, mythical, and other references.Paul AusterPaul Auster was an American novelist whose novels often concerned him with the search for identity and personal meaning. He became well-known after his experimental detective stories were published in The New York Trilogy.

He was a famous writer who also advocated for gay rights and anti-war movements where he protested the Vietnam War and coined the phrase ¨Flower Power¨.Jean-Francois LyotardThe man who first introduced the term into philosophy and social sciences, Jean-Francois Lyotard, said, "Simplifying to the extreme, I define postmodern as incredulity towards meta-narratives." He was most recognized in the movement for his work, "The Postmodern Condition: A Report on Knowledge." After the book was published and had received criticism he later came out to say that he didn't actual have that much knowledge on the science and considered it to be a "parody" and one of the worst books he had ever written.
